PHPIDS for MODx News

The current release of PHPIDS for MODX is a bug fix.

The following tickets are fixed:

Due to the current state of PHPIDS, two functions do not work as expected:

• The demo link for testing possible attacks ends on an empty page.
• The calculation of hashes for filter updates fails.

I've also updated jQuery to version 1.7.2.

The current release of PHPIDS for MODX is a bug fix.

I added the possibility to show hash error messages. Currently the hash for the converter and the default filter are wrong on https://phpids.org.

The error message is shown and logged to the MODX system event log.

I've also updated jQuery UI to version 1.8.18.

The current release of PHPIDS for MODX is a bug fix.

The server of https://phpids.org is available, but returns an empty result. As a result, a check of the local filter to the filters on https://phpids.org not possible since the hash value can not be calculated correctly.

This situation is solved by showing the filters up to date. The error of the call of https://phpids.org is logged in the system log of MODX, the curl call returns error 1112 and is logged:

PHPIDS-Update: Some error occurred: 14077458:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:reason(1112)

A bug on update filter is solved now. In addition a message about the success or the failure of an update is shown.

The current release of PHPIDS for MODX is a bug fix. The bug had not affect on updates, but on new installations.

The current release uses the newest PHPIDS version and has an updated update mechanism to check the filter and converter on PHPIDS.
This is done by comparing the installed files versus the files on PHPIDS with SHA1.

Some minor changes and typo corrections are included in this version.

I decided to switch the distributed revision control system from Subversion to Git.

The decision was made, because it is much easier to handle Git repositories and branches than Subversion.

The sixt alpha version has updated jQuery libraries.

The current versions of jQuery, (1.6.4), jqGrid (4.2.0), and jQueryUI (1.8.16), where integrated.

The fifth version has updated jQuery libraries and extended possibilities to check the intrusions.

The current versions of jQuery, (1.5.2), jqGrid (4.0), and jQueryUI (1.8.11), where integrated.

The fourth alpha version has updated jQuery libraries.

The current versions of jQuery, 1.5.1, and jQueryUI, 1.8.10, where integrated.

The third alpha version has two new featerures implemented. In addition, the documentation is updated.

Currently (2011-02-01) there seems to be a problem http://phpids.org, because the filter news is not available.

This coused a problem on calculating, whether there is a new filter update, or not, because it was not checked, if the filter news was available. This is fixed now.

The following changes have been done:

• PHPIDS 0.6.5
• jQuery 1.5
• jqGrid 3.8.2
• jQueryUI 1.8.9
• New tab-sheet with the options to update the default filter file and to truncate the log table

This new release is based on the current version of PHPIDS 0.6.4.

In addition the following changes have been done:

PHPIDS is now part of the package.

A new module was created and some changes where made on the plugin.

This version extends the plugin. You can now add filters directly inside the plugin.

There was a an error linking the new configuration file, this is now fixed.

The PHPIDS Projekt changed the name of the configuration file with their latest version 0.6.3.1.

Due to a change of the MODx plugin interpreter I needed to change a line of code inside the plugin. MODx misinterprets /** <?php /** because it should not have parsed the comment, but it does parse it and throws an error.
